We’ve got PRIDE this month
June 4, 2026
June is PRIDE month – our annual time to come together to celebrate and recognize the collective joy, resilience, grief, and strength that exists every day in our 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
In 2026, 2SLGBTQIA+ rights are under growing threat – not only abroad but here in Canada. We are seeing rising incidents of hate, well-funded campaigns targeting trans and Queer communities, and regressive efforts to limit inclusive education, especially in schools.
Anti-trans protests and disinformation have created increasingly hostile environments, particularly for young people. Against this backdrop, PRIDE is not just a celebration – it’s a necessary act of resistance.
Family Service Toronto remains steadfast in our commitment to celebrating diversity, pursuing justice and practising inclusion. We are in solidarity with individuals and families from all areas of life and will continue to uplift the experiences of marginalized communities who call on us to challenge and dismantle all forms of oppression and discrimination.
